Kutjevo Winery won three bronze medals and a recommendation at the prestigious International Wine Challenge, held in London on May 22 and 23.

The IWC is recognized in the world as one of the most influential wine competitions on which wine is evaluated according to the principle of blind tasting (blindly) and each wine is judged by its loyalty to style, region and year. Every award-winning wine tasted at least twelve different experts before the final result was confirmed. The rigor of the IWC criteria best shows the number of points needed to win some medals. Thus, for commended, 80 to 84, bronze 85 to 89 points, 90 to 94 silver, and gold 95 to 100 points.

Bronze were awarded the Graševina premium wine in 2017, Graševina Turković 2016 and Maximo Oro in 2016, while the recommendation was given to Graševina de Gotho 2017.

The Kutjevo grapes are proving their flawless quality every year by winning medals at numerous world and domestic wine competitions, and it is not surprising that this year's quality was recognized by IWC's expert evaluators. A special award for the quality of wine for Kutjevo winery is a bronze medal for Maximo Oro, a new premium wine brand, which is also the first prize. Maximo Oro is a blend of graševina and chardonnay which is released on the market these days and will be available exclusively on the HoReCa channel.

The added value to these medals is that it is mainly about young wines that will only show their true potential in the coming years.
