History and tradition
The historical beginning of the creation of Kutjevo d.d. is closely linked to the development of its primary activity – vinegrowing.
As time went by, there have been numerous changes in terms of the ownership of agricultural businesses, vineyards and cellars in the region of the Požega basin, such as church and state-owned or patrician feudal possessions, followed by capitalist citizens’ possessions, and after the Second World War, through the integration of several smaller economies, agricultural co-operative societies, smaller agricultural estates, and finally from the part of processing-food capacities of the Požega basin, there arose PPK Kutjevo.
The company became the leader of development of the Požega region. The businesses it conducted encompassed activities connected to agricultural production, from raw material to end products.
In 2003, the company became privately-owned, with the majority shareholder the company Božjakovina d.d., the owner of which is Mr. Enver Moralić, an international businessman.
Today, production is organised into three major sectors:
Vinegrowing production containing bussines unit Viticulture and enology.
Crop production containing bussines units Farming and cattle breeding, Sjemenarstvo and Požežanka.
Livestock production containing bussines unit Papuk.
