"The wine Gang" in Kutjevo
This time group of English wine experts called “The wine Gang”, had the opportunity on 27th and 28th of June to taste 250 croatian wines, and next day to visit Kutjevo wine region.
“The wine Gang” consists of five renowned wine critics (Tom Cannavan, Jane Parkinson, Anthony Rose, Joanna Simon i David Williams) which come to Croatia with intention to make selection of wine that suits taste of British market.
I was in Kutjevo two years ago, during the 32th OIV congress and I'm glad they kept quality of wine, even improved, especially white wines of harvest 2009. - said Anthony Rose.
I like the most Maximo Bianco (a blend of Sauvignon and Traminer) for freshness, and almost ideal balance of two varieties - says Jane Parkinson.
Selection they make in Zagreb and Kutjevo will be presented in September to English public and wine professionals on specially organized event in London, along with accompanying workshop where will be explained characteristics and parallel advantages of Croatian wines.
In continuation of this trip they visited Krauthaker winery in Kutjevo, and Enjingi winery in Hrnjevac, and then was prepared lunch for guests on the winegrowing position Vinkomir.
Since all of the five wine critics are the journalists at the same time, and all of them in reputable magazines, we expect a very good effect in media at the end of the trip.
