History of Sjemenarstvo
1953 – the beginning of seed science in Kutjevo
1963 – building our own plant for seed processing, beginning of cooperation with established western-European seed science companies and the start of production of sugar beet seed on our own land
1976 – introduction of early hybrid seed corn program
1980 – introduction of seed program for other arable crops (barley, oat, fodder beet, fodder beet, etc.)
1986 – technical and technological modernization of seed finishing plant
1990 – introduction to the sort list of Croatia’s corn hybrid from FAO groups 300, 400, 500, and 600, as well as other arable crops
2000 – introduction of new seed finishing, treatment and packing technology for all arable crops for export to the European markets as well as for the Croatian market
Throughout this entire period, SJEMENARSTVO KUTJEVO has kept quality cooperation with home Institutes (Bc and Os), for which we produce seed of most fertile and quality sorts and arable crop hybrids.
In this period we have maintained cooperation with all the significant European and global seed science companies.
Nowadays, Sjemenarstvo Kutjevo is the leading seed science company in Croatia, apparent from the production of a wide spectre of seeds of arable and garden crops.
